    BUY THIS!

Very impressed with how sturdy the equipment is. I was able to see it up by myself took an hour or 2. 2 people would be better but it can be done with a wall. Best piece of home workout equipment I have EVER bought. Also the ability to buy add on accessories that works with this makes it even better

    Great budget rack!

This rack is great for the price. I spent the biggest money on my bench and bar. This rack will do nicely. After getting it assembled (then taking most of it back apart due to forgetting the reinforcing pieces that help strengthen the cross bars). This is a very solid rack and I highly recommend it. Also the decals come off so easily if you want to “rebrand” it or put cooler logos on it. Most of my better gym gear came with some cool stickers to pop on this thing.

    Great budget rack

Surprisingly stable rack. I’ve been using this rack 5 days a week with 3-5 people, going on 45 weeks now. The coating on the rack isn’t good and comes off easily, but that doesn’t really matter to me. The safety bars work, I dropped 295 on them and they didn’t bend. For the price this rack is so good, it’s not perfect or as stable as others, but I feel safe using this and it didn’t break the bank. Landmine attachment is a nice addition that I have enjoyed using

    Pretty solid

The rack it’s self it’s pretty solid a little wobbly and definitely get new j hooks for it but I had 405lbs on it and it held up. For the price point of $250 i’d buy it again. Only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because of the hooks it come with are junk

    3 years of use.

This month makes 3 years I’ve used this cage and it’s performed great. Few accessories such as dip bars, cable systems, chest press attachments and a sturdy adjustable bench with preacher and curl/extension attachment and I’m not missing the public gym at all.Pretty sure I have or am about to break even with building my home gym vs the cost of membership plus travel. My only complaint is the paint chips off easily, but it’s bound to happen.

    A little wobbly

Wish i had take a look a some options with stronger support horizontal beams in the back im a bit disappointed with the ones it came with its a bit wobbly. Thats my only concern of course im not going to do extremely heavy weight i would have just preferred little to no wobble from stronger horizontal support. Other than that i like it. But i did see an option with similar price with more attachments like dip handles and landmine attachment

    JUST BUY IT ALREADY

I bought this rack in May of 2022, so I have owned mine for just over a year. It’s 2″ square steel pipe, so it’s sturdy AF. I have had 300 lb’s loaded up high, and I have had a 300 lb deadlift crash into the guards without issue countless times. It carries me doing pull-ups like a breeze. I bought the version with the cable attachment, which functions well enough. I’m able to do lat pulldowns, cable rows, facepulls, etc. You can’t beat the price, either. I shared this thing on r/homegym and they ridiculed me….But, who’s laughing now? WHO? WHO, I ASK YOU?! SHUT UP! IT’S ME WHO’S LAUGHING, THAT’S WHO. HA

    Very Happy.

I debated on purchasing this cage for quite some time. I’d watch the price fluctuate and re-read the reviews hoping for something to finally push me one way or the other. And honestly, I assumed I’d be pushed in the direction of NOT buying it due to a bad Or not-so-great review…. but after months and months of contemplation, that didn’t happen (the not-so-great review part). One morning, I woke up and happened to see that the price was the lowest I had ever seen it – so BAM- I made the some-what spontaneous purchase. Shipping ended up being fast (the 2 day Prime shipping was actually, surprisingly, 2 days). The cage parts arrived in one large/heavy box, well packaged, and with no damaged or missing parts.Post-purchase, but prior to the arrival, I had some concerns over height & space as well as assembly as I live in a small apartment and would be assembling the cage by myself. Obviously, these are things that should be considered prior to purchasing the cage, but oh well. The reviews I read strongly suggested that the assembly was a two person job. Well, I’m here to tell you that I did this by myself. It can be done. I probably wouldn’t recommend it for the average person, but it can be done. The instructions were relatively clear and simple.Once assembled, the cage is sturdy enough that I trust it with pull-ups and squats in the low/mid 200lb range. I probably won’t be going much heavier- mostly because I can’t squat that much heavier, not because I don’t think the cage can handle it.My biggest issue, and it’s one that is specific to myself and where I live, is getting rid of the giant box it arrived in. I might just end up keeping the discarded box forever….Long story short, very happy with my purchase. Highly recommend.

Home Gym, Average Joe, Very Happy

Will echo the other reviews but its important to mention – the directions are THE BEST I’ve seen included in an DIY assembly product. It makes for an easy assembly. 5 stars for packaging and assembly directions. The materials and hardware all feel quality. The paint and consistency of the drilled holes were spot on. The directions specifically say not to tighten the bolts until the final step, I think thats an important thing to note to ensure you don’t face alignment issues. Everything lined up well for me. Some folks mentioned a power drill helped with assembly. I had 2 ratchets with 17mm sockets and flew through the assembly.I shopped around a lot. Things important to me – (1) had to be freestanding (2) not require being bolted to a wall or floor, and having used just squat stands for years, (3) wanted a full rack. I was between this and a full-footed Rogue model, and decided at the significantly lower price point, this Fitness Reality rack was the better option overall FOR ME. But with that decision is the reality that I’m not going to be pushing squats or benches that are going to approach weight thresholds. I’m in my mid-forties just trying to keep old age away the best I can, and definitely not going to be a power lifter at this point. My gym (in a garage) has a concrete floor and as I assembled this, I had concerns that the rack may move, especially during a kipping pullup or a toes-to-bar motion. I was surprised that while using it, its very solid. I also DO NOT have plates stored on it, and no special accommodations to keep it where it is, and its staying put – very solid and stable feeling to it.Overall, I would recommend the rack for the average joe home gym.

    Lat Pulldown Add on

This review is for the Lat pulldown addition, since I already had the cage. The assembly was easy because I had a set of wrenches and sockets. I highly recommend using actual tools – putting this together with the free wrenches in the box would have been a challenge. When looking at the parts provided, I realized there are two different models in the advertisement photos – one with a stabilization bracket at the top, and one without. I received the model without the stabilization bracket, however it seems to be stable so far. I could not find in the instructions the weight capacity of the pulleys and the cable – I emailed the support to get that answer. I may upgrade the plastic pulleys, carabiners and pulleys at some point as I have concerns with them supporting over 100lbs. So far the system works well, the movement of the weights up and down is smooth, and the cage is stable. With the included long bar and small bar, you can do lat pulldowns, triceps pushdowns, curls, and rows. I plan on purchasing a rope and a single arm attachment to add more exercises. Not bad for the price.

    Different model?

My cage and cable system didnt come with the large bracket that connects the lat-pull-down to the top rack stabilizer. There’s no holes for one to even attach one like everyone else seems to have in their photos. You assemble the rack, then go to install the other lat pulldown box. The bottom rack stabilizer bar is removed and used as the leg holder for pulldowns. A new bar is put in place to install the lat pulldown rack, but if I install it the direction the instructions say, the rear platform the cable machine sits off of the ground about 2″. I flipped it and the platform sits on the ground, but i sort of have to bend the top of the cable machine back and up to attach it to the top pull up bar area. I know the hardware is tight and everything is stable. The motion of the track is fluid, so i have no complaints i guess. Just interesting that mine looks different that the ones other people posted photos of. I’m not sure if I got a knockoff or an old version or a new version, but i wish I would have received the version with the extra brace for the lat cable attachment.

    Strong and Worth Every Penny!

To set up a home gym because of this covid time, I read a lot of reviews in many different cage and endd up getting this cage, instead of other similar ones. From ordering to receiving it was around 6 days. Package is very good. I was surprised that 2 people carried this 130lbs 1x1x7 feet box into my garage, which is very nice.Assembling is very easy and straight forward. Fitness Reality really did a good job on designing this. 4 vertical tubs are the same. Unlike Ikea’s furniture, it’s hard for you to install it from a different side or use the wrong items. 2 people work together will be better since the metal are pretty nice and heavy. With the tools they provided, takes around 1.5-2 hour max. Some reviews talk about wobbling issue. Since this cage is only 130lbs and 4x4x8 feet after setup and not commercial grade cage in your local gym. If you hang yourself on the pull up bar , you will feel a tiny bit, but I still feel safe. It’s not going to fall or crash. Testing a couple of standard pull ups on it, then this sturdy cage is not moving 0.001 inch, just like a rock. Tightening all the bolts and caps will reduce the wobbling too. The 2 safety bars that come with cage are like 10-15 lbs, very strong. feels like can really hold up a lot of weight.Haven’t really use it yet, but I already think my $300 ish spending is totally worth it. this cage will be great for pull up, dips, bench press, squat and more combing with the 2×2 attachments and resistant bands. The Fitness Reality Bench, which I bought separately, is also very nice. I may update after more actual exercises. Overall, highly recommended.

Fitness Reality 810XLT Super Max Power Cage

I ordered this from Fitness Reality website. It was cheaper and they didn’t charge me tax! I paid $299. Most places on amazon want more and for the Lat Pull Down attachment, they want even more than the cage! ! I believe its $229 on Fitness Reality. Anyways, assembly was pretty simple and I’m not mechanically inclined in anyway! Got it together fairly quick, by myself. Maybe an hour or so. I did a video to show my friends and they caught that it was swaying which I didn’t notice too much, when I did pull-ups. After seeing the video myself, I went back to make sure it was tightened enough. It wasn’t. After the proper tightening, it was now very secure! If I have one knock on it is that there isn’t a lot of room in the cage itself. I leave my bar and weights on when I bench and its on the outside of the cage. When I go to the inside to do pull-ups, there isn’t a lot of room. I sometimes hit myself on the bar or the support on the back of the cage. Maybe I need more control of my body? Feels a little cramped. But for the price, its a small complaint. It does everything I need and holds up nicely. You can buy attachments for the cage made by other companies as long as they have the same dimensions. I bought some dip bars from an off brand and they fit nicely. Its not a heavy duty piece of equipment that you’d find at your local gyms but very solid for the garage or workout room. I’m 5’9 and 180#s, works for me. Taller people might feel scrunched when doing pull-ups. I really only use it for bench and pull-up as I do not have enough equipment for anything else or the Lat Pull Down feature, yet. Overall, I would give this 4.5 stars!

Best home squat cage available. Period.

Finished assembling my new Fitness Reality gym. I gave this workout cage a full 5 stars with the caveat that lifting and bolting the whole thing together solo was at least two hours total but everything fit together perfectly. Adhere to the instruction book recommending NOT tightening any bolts down until final assembly, then go back and tighten everything at the very end in its upright position. This product way exceeded my expectations for ruggedness, stability, heaviness and overall quality of design and manufacture. Nothing about this product is cheap, flimsy or wobbly. I was considering a squat rack for under $200 but read reviews and saw video examples of just how disappointed those customers were when they got the thing assembled. This is absolutely a superior product by many magnitudes, really not even comparable. What is really nice about this cage is its versatility with both free-weight squat AND chest press with an Olympic 7’ bar. I purchased the “j-hook” product accessory for the chest press position, allowing easier lift off and finish for chest press. For squat press, the solid heavy duty support bars stay in the lower position while the chromes bar rests stay in the upper position to allow easy lift off. The j-hooks, support bars and squat bar hooks stay where they are, just need to move the Olympic bar either from squat position or chest position to change exercises.Took a few days to get used to the cramped quarters in my laundry room converted-to-home-gym, but now it feels just like working out at my old (now cancelled) mega gym.I couldn’t be happier with this whole set up. Thank you Fitness Reality!!!

Great for a home gym, not nessisarly commercial quality, but gets the job done.

The Fitness Reality Squat Rack Power Cage with Optional LAT Pulldown is great for my garage gym setup. I was tired of going to commercial gyms, from the rude inconsiderate patrons to the waiting to use equipment im over it… The only thing id ever really use at the gym where the squat racks and benches, so I pulled the trigger on getting this squat rack and am so happy I did. With an 800lbs limit you should be good to go on any squat variation you choose.Im 6′ 4″ and fit comfortably in the cage. the beauty of this squat rack is the versatility it offers. Because its a full cage and not just a rack you can safely squat and bench solo, provided you have the added safety stops adjusted properly. If you choose to get the added lat pull down attachment like I did you just about doubled your versatility in exercises. The cable points do not allow for any additional vertical positioning of the cables, Its either from above you or from the ground. For me this was not an issue. The added pullup bar on the top is also a nice touch where it could have just been a bracket instead.Installation is fairly simple and strait forward. I would recommend you have some experience with basic hand tools and follow directions closely. That being said you should have no problem. I was able to throw it together by myself in about an hour or two. All assembled the cage seems very sturdy, I feel confident racking and un-racking the weight. With this rack, a bench, barbell, and plates you’ll be ready with your own home gym.

    Excellent quality for the price

Been using several times a week for 18 months now and it’s still holding up great with no issue despite being rather rough on while racking the barbell. Was concerned at first due to some very slight wobbling, but it has not caused any problems. It can be bolted to the floor/wall which I have NOT done, and it has still been fine. Assembly wasn’t too bad, helps a lot to have 2 people and some additional tools such as sockets and drills, but definitely not necessary. Highly recommend the lat pulldown cables, dip bars, additional plate storage rods, and additional barbell holders. Great product for the price.

Love this rack. Here is how I “modified” it to become a cable-crossover machine.

I’m extremely pleased with the product. Assembly was straightforward and all the holes lined up! Very sturdy construction. The attached pictures show an addition I made to turn give the rack a cable-crossover functionality. These pictures represent my Version 1.0.All the parts can be purchased at Lowes. The rack has two perfect attachment points for the pulleys. See picture 1. This shows a threaded eye bolt and 1 1/2″ fixed pulley. Two lock nuts hold it in place but it is purposely NOT tight so it has the ability to rotate. Picture 2 shows a length of zinc coated square steel tubing from Lowes. Three threaded eye bolts connect the additional cables to the center cable on the rack. Picture 3 shows me pulling on the two handles.I think this works really well. Keep in mind, this is Version 1. One could probably cut the steel tubing length down. With the full length, it doesn’t seem to hit the cage but it potentially could. NOTE: I did try this without the steel tubing and I didn’t like the feel. As one completes the motion, the angle change in the cables was significant enough to notice. Your mileage may vary and you may prefer that characteristic. That tubing was the most expensive piece at about $20. Everything else is dirt cheap. If you decide to try something like this, please be EXTREMELY careful. I am a Mechanical Engineer by education so this was something I was comfortable doing. Review the load limits of ALL the components you intend to use. For instance, the two fixed pulleys from Lowes have a safe working load of 420 pounds. I used 1/8″ vinyl coated braided wire rope. Blue Hawk brand with a safe working load of 340 pounds.Make sure ANY carabiners you use to make connections are rated for HIGH LOAD and NOT for hanging keys on your belt loop. I can’t stress this enough. You do NOT want something breaking on you during full extension.IMPORTANT: Make sure you terminate the ends of the cables correctly. Properly swaged deformable collars are likely the best approach but I used a threaded clamp for this setup. I will likely change to a swaged connection because the clamping hardware can rub against your arm during use. Also, use thimbles on the ends of both cables to protect the cable attachment points.

This thing is great for the money!

I bought mine back in late 2021 or early 2022 and it is still holding up. This thing is cheap, but not poor quality. Do not expect a big squat rack you can put 600lbs on and rep it out. But, for the value, this thing is pretty awesome!I regularly use it to squat 400-450lbs and it has held up. However, I don’t go over that weight much because it does get wobbly and sways a bit. For the money I paid for it, I didn’t expect commercial gym quality (I do my heavy squats in another workout facility). This thing is perfect for the garage or basement gym and will be adequate for most people.I also use it for bench press, which I am completely comfortable putting 350 or more on there and repping it out. This thing will keep you safe. One downside, I have to do squats outside the rack. Otherwise, I bump my head off the front cross member. For taller guys, this will be an issue. This mainly has to do with the compact size… but if it was bigger, it wouldn’t fit in my basement. To summarize, this is an awesome buy for most average people, but don’t expect commercial gym quality out of it.

Had it for two years and love it.

This was such a good purchase. You’ll want to pick up a nice Olympic bar with it for bench and squats. I got the set that came with a bench and the lat pulldown attachment. Two years in and no regrets except the cable coating (on lat pulldown attachment) does wear off quick (but still works without the coating). Saved a ton on gym memberships and don’t see my self ever going back to paying those memberships. I just keep adding pieces to my garage gym now. One of my all time favorite amazon purchases! Tip… I snagged some Olympic Rubber Coated REP plates to go with it and you absolutely want to get the plate holder attachments that go on this unless you already have a different plate rack.

One great rack for the price

I was able to get this at $330 dlvd. I was looking at racks 2 to 3 times as much, but the reviews for this one were much better. It’s easy to assemble and looks great and is as sturdy as I could’ve hoped for in a free standing non-commercial grade rack. If you want to bolt it down there is ample room to tap holes at the ends of the feet and bolt down if you need. I also bought the landmine attachment from Fitness Reality, which is a must have, along with a set of J-Hooks which I prefer for Bench Pressing. Also I found a company out of NYC that makes standard size rack assessories that work perfect on the rack. I had to find a different company for some attachments because my weights are not Olympic. I inherited a large set of plates from my father that I want to keep and use and most of the rack add ons you see are for Olympic plates. I needed plate holders for the rack that were standard, not Olympic, and found the ones pictured. Overall the rack is a bit shorter than most out there, I am 5′ 10″ and I would say at most 6′ 2″ is the limit for your height to comfortably use this rack. I am also glad this is all bolt together with very few welds, especially where the main 4 posts meet the feet. I read a lot of reviews on racks, look at the ones for the Hulk racks for instance, those welds fail on many. Also the packaging is genius and assembly is simple really. Every bolt and nut is the exact same, if you have a set of sockets you will knock it out no problem. If not they do include a couple basic wrenches. If you have a cordless impact with a socket adapter you will rock it out in 30 minutes no prob. One person can do it with not much effort, the 1st crossbeam will be the tricky part, but 2 people makes it super simple. Now I see it swing from as low as $240 and all the way up to $499, so if you keep watch you can snag it at a steal but think it’s worth the $499 for sure. I am totally happy with what I got for the money I spent and expect to use this rack for decades.

    Great Budget Rack

Hard to bemoan anything about this given the price point.Very easy setup even for a right-brained doofus with two left hands like me. Lol. More efficiently executed with two people, but I was able to do it solo without headache in three hours. The pieces were very dirty though and left a lot of black and oil smudges.Definitely gets the job done. A little wobbly when I use ring dip attachments or inverted rows in the front, but that’s fixable laying some plates on the back legs. You’d be better served buying your own bar holders, as those things are at risk for twisting and slipping out.The safety bars work just fine.I can’t say I’d recommend this for a strongman or power lifter squatting 400+, but for an average joe like me doing Zercher squats and lunges, tricep pushups and OHP in the mid to upper 100s, it gets the job done.I do definitely like the pull-up attachment at the top, too.Would recommend.

Best investment I’ve made during COVID

Surprisingly great value, not at all a compromise. Setup took 50 minutes alone, as long as you have a wall or column to rest a completed side on you should be able to assemble it alone. Ratchet set definitely a plus, though the included wrenches are great for holding one side while the ratchet does the work. I’m 6’3”/275 and squat inside without issue. I saw one review where it mentioned the crossbar got in the way of un-racking but if you put the hooks on the inside front, you can safely walk your squat back into the rack and have plenty of room so I’m not sure where the issue was.I’d recommend this rack to anyone and certainly over more expensive alternatives for even the heaviest of home use.Added 8/2021: purchased the lat tower, another great product from Fitness Reality, for a home gym there are very few movements that can’t be trained. Both the rack and the lat accessory are well made and easy to assemble. One point I want to make is that one review I read and almost caused me to pass on the lat addition now does not make sense. The reviewer stated that they had to choose between having the leg pads installed and being able to bench within the rack with safeties as the leg pads attach to the safety pins. Either FR changed the design or I’m missing something because all it takes to attach the pads is to hold the bar in place as you slide the pins in the proper set of holes. 30 seconds, just as easy as changing pin levels for any other reason and should not be a reason not to consider this product line. I’m glad I went through with my purchase and it is unfortunate that such misinformation can sway purchase decisions. Another review had assembly time with two people and proper tools at over three hours for the base rack. The first time I assembled it it took less than an hour, with the lat tower taking longer due to a more complex design and more numerous parts, but still easy if you simply read and follow the instructions.

Easy to assembly for one person!

Believe it or not, there is an easy way to assemble this big, heavy-duty powercage by yourself. Just look on Youtube. I was easily able to put it together myself, by first attaching the pull up bar to one side of the rack on the ground. Then I stood it up and leaned it against the wall. Last, I attached it to the other side of the rack. Just look on Youtube, and you will find two videos that use this technique. Unfortunately, most of the installation videos on Youtube only show you how to assemble this power cage with two people. By the way, this power cage rocks!!!

Very decent for the price, but only if you can’t afford better

I struggled with giving this 4 or 5 stars. I really regret not getting a different cage that was more sturdy, larger, and had the option for a lat pulldown. But I was being cheap on the one piece of equipment I should not have been cheap about. Anyhow for the price you absolutely cannot beat this cage. It’s good quality, but does have many trade offs for price. If you really can’t spend the money, and aren’t a heavy lifter then I can recommend this all day long.My negatives, which aren’t really huge negatives: The cage does move around a fair bit. If you like to rack your weights aggressively, like I do, then be prepared for a second where you wonder if the cage is going to tip backwards, or flop side to side. Honestly it’s not going to flip, it has those back legs that would keep it from that, but it still feels a bit flimsy when racking weight. But just having the weight sitting on the cage is very sturdy and unracking it is not an issue. I’m also not a fan of the matte powdercoating they are using, it really scratches way too easily. I’m comparing this to commercial gym units where I can throw an Olympic bar at the cage and you won;’t see the slightest scratch, but of course that’s comparing $10k versus what this costs so it’s an unfair comparison. Still, I would have paid just a bit more for better powdercoating.I also wasn’t overly fond of the pull up bars. I have only 80″ ceilings in my basement so I had to hang them upside down. Yeah it’s possible this contribute slightly to the flimsiness. I can do pullups with no issues, but have to bend my legs up. Once again not a big deal for the price. The only true negatives are the weight holders, they are very bad. They will totally ruin the knurling on your bar as they are metal to metal. They also come loose if you laterally translate the bar even just a little, very scary and dangerous. The first thing you should replace is these, with some nice rubber coated J-hooks. I also added some Titan plate holders.Last negative is it’s unable to accommodate a lat pulldown. This isn’t an issue with how it was advertised as I knew this when I purchased it. But it wouldn’t have been difficult to engineer an addon lat pulldown for this. But I’m sure they would prefer you buy their higher end cage, which I can’t blame them.Anyhow overall it’s very positive and a nice cage if you are on a budget. But if you have the money and the room don’t be cheap and look at other options.

    Good value

My initial issue was when receiving the package. It was damaged quite extensively on the bottom. I didn’t think this would be a problem until I opened it and discovered that the box that contained all of the bolts was open and a couple were missing. Pretty frustrating but I did have spare bolts and used those to complete the project. There was also some additional damage to the metal square tubing as paint was scratched and scuffed. Not a big issue but it’s always disappointing when you get some thing new and find it damaged. Overall, this seems like a decent product for the money. Did my research and definitely came across heavier duty products, but the prices were significantly more than this. So far it’s been loaded with several hundred pounds without any issue. If you do squats with anything more than a couple hundred pounds I would definitely add additional stabilization to this as you could tip when re-racking the weight bar.

GOOD RACK (HAD THIS FOR A YEAR SO,)

Bought this rack a year ago and finally decided to give it a review. After spending quite some time with it, I can confidently say I’ve been more than happy with my purchase. The only con I can really think of is that it was a bit of a pain to assemble (cage + lat pulldown attachment). However, I was assembling it in the summer heat so that probably had something to do with it. My advice would be to assemble it with someone helping you for some of the steps. If you have someone to help you or you’re experienced with assembling things, then this should be no problem to be honest. Going back to the cage + lat pulldown attachment, everything seems well built. The cage itself can hold weight well, and the lat attachment hasn’t given me any problems. Everything is still smooth and works great.Over the past year, I’ve also attached a couple things to it. If you’re looking for spotter arms, J-hooks, or weightholders, make sure you get the ones listed for 2×2 cages. I’ve bought things from Rigers, Titan, Valor, and Yes4all. Everything fits. Now Ima be addressing one concern I see a lot in the other reviews. People have mentioned that this thing wobbles a bit. I’m not a detective or anything, but I’m pretty sure if you shake anything it wobbles. I see people everywhere saying stuff like “this rack wobbles too much this **** sucks major cock and balls”. Well of course it’s gonna wobble a bit IF YOU SHAKE IT LIKE A MAD MAN; this isn’t a professional heavy duty indestructible rack made from rare titanium metal that was struck by Zeus’s lightning and bolted down by tornado proof bolts like those in your commercial gym. Unless you’re buying from Rouge, you should be expecting some wobbling from any rack bought for a home gym. The wobbling itself is not a problem. It can be your own personal problem if you expect a home gym rack to be identical to your commercial gym rack. I’ve racked weights on and off of this thing hundreds of times. The wobbling is not a problem. Now do I recommend this rack ? 100% yes.

    Solid weightlifting rack / cage

Review after 1 year of heavy / consistent use:I built my own weightlifting gym in the basement: this rack / cage, a bench, a barbell, and plates (all bought separately, which unless you’re buying the whole set used from someone, seems to be the best way). First of all, I recommend doing this to serious (by which I mean consistent) weightlifters from an economic perspective: in my city the cost of all the equipment is less than a year’s gym membership, let alone that multiple people use my gym.Next, about the rack/cage specifically: recommend. Definitely go with cage over rack, since it is more stable and there are additional safety bars (see photo) so you can do bench press, and perhaps squatting, by yourself with confidence since you can fail safely. This is the key advantage over a regular “rack”. Assembly: easy, not requiring any fancy tools, and takes a few hours– easier to do with someone else. The cafe is solid and able to support high weights. Depending on the evenness of your ground (my basement floor isn’t very level, unfortunately), it might seem a bit shaky, even when fully assembled and tightened. I was concerned at first but I have realized that it is completely fine: this is just because of the geometry of the floor and the cage (it is basically 4 vertical poles attached to one another with horizontal bars)– sometimes I reposition the empty rack slightly on the floor to find a more stable place. But there are no safety concerns.Lastly, some of the paint might chip off the main bars over time with the barbell hitting them. This is purely aesthetic / does not affect integrity.

    Definitely worth the money

I have two 16 year old boys who use the cage and lat pulldown machine several times per week. We have had this cage for almost one year and it’s really holding up well! To keep it as sturdy as possible, we keep the plates attached towards the bottom sides of the rack and we have had zero issues with stability, movement or sturdiness.

One of the best choices I ever made

Bought this 4 years ago and aside from my woman, this has been one of the best additions to my life in a long time.I have 450lbs on pegs on the outside of the squat rack, I’m around 200 lbs and do lots of pull ups on this thing, capacity is not a problem.I’ve dropped heavy barbells during squats on this rack, the guards and bar bent a little. Its because I dropped the bar while the guards were super low instead of being around squat level, this was my fault. This squat rack is absolutely fantastic. I have it in a small corner of my garage next to the trash cans, not a huge fingerprint.I even bought a cable system that I setup three times a week just for cable workouts. With this, you have no excuse to not be jacked. It then comes down to you and how often you use it.

4 years later, over 500 work outs

I don’t want to be dramatic but this is one of the best investments I have ever made. I bought this in 2019 prior to the pandemic. Needless to say it has been well used and has kept me in excellent shape for the past 4 years. Set up was easy enough as I did it myself and it’s been moved from the garage to my basement over the years and was simple enough to take apart and put back together. Every once in awhile I have to tighten a couple screws if it starts to wobble but then it’s good for another year. You can’t beat this price. If you have the space and are serious about strength training just buy it.

Excellent product… for what it is. However, consider something else if you’re over 6 feet tall

The media could not be loaded.

Yes, the product has an overall narrow footprint, thin steel, and wobbles some if you rerack a little too hard. But that’s what you get for only 250 bucks. Thicker steel or a bigger footprint would mean more money. The rack itself doesn’t have any way to bolt it down, but if you really needed to, you can easily buy a steel bracket and fashion something together. It’s rated for 800 pounds, but I probably wouldn’t even trust it with 500. But that’s not a concern for me, it’s great for the types of weights I’m pushing. If I walked into a proper gym and saw this thing, I’d probably walk right back out. But given that I workout in a covered carport where I can’t really protect it against the elements, I didn’t want to spend money a good rack just for it to get worn by the weather in only a couple of years. The only genuine complaint I have about the product, is that the upper cross-bar is right at head height, so it’s tricky to setup for a back squat. I have to consciously keep my head down so I don’t bonk my head on it. I’m 5′ 10.5”, so if you’re much taller, I suspect you wouldn’t be able to squat comfortably at all really. You could possibly squat the other way, but then there’s the potential that you’ll hit the bottom crossbar if you squat ATG. That said, I don’t think there is really a better place for it. With such a narrow footprint, the cross-bar is needed for stability.Overall, I feel comfortable lifting in it, and since the safety bars are solid steel, I’d trust it to catch me if I were to fail. It’ll get the job done for a home workout.

    Excellent first impressions

About me: I have never used a power cage before and have only trained for about 2 years, during which I have never squatted. I have no basis for comparison to other cages but I have owned other fitness products before with comparable engineering and manufacturing specifications. I ordered the “power cage only” option, and paid $260 (right now at the height of COVID price hikes, this is the deal of the century).0) I have had mixed experiences with delivery lately, most likely due to COVID induced congestion. This package arrived 2 days earlier than expected. If you are reading the 0-star reviews from people frustrated with shipping issues, know that it is unlikely to be the the fault of Fitness Reality.1) The packaging (a single long box) arrived torn and banged up, but there was not a single scratch on any component — the wrapping did its job well. The finish is very nice to the touch and pleasant to look at.2) All the small parts were tightly packaged individually and stored together in a compact box. Nuts and bolts were sealed in hard plastic + cardboard like you see in hardware stores. Also included are two pieces of steel with the shape of the hex nuts cut into them (I guess you can call the wrenches). No additional tools are required for assembly.3) A five year old can assemble this with the crystal clear idiot-proof instruction booklet. However, there is one crucial step in the assembly that the booklet skips. The instructions tell you assemble two “halves” (defined as the rectangular frame formed by bolting together a base, two long steel beams, and a “roof” bar) of the cage. Then, you are to connect said two halves/frames by bolting the pull-up bar and back braces onto them. How to do this safely and efficiently is left as an exercise to the reader. Hint: It is possible to do it alone using 1) a wall or vertical surface to lean one of the frames against (at ~15 degrees) and 2) a stool to stand on to loosely bolt the top of the pull-up bar to the frames before straightening and tightening. This can be considered a trivial mental exercise that does not subtract from the quality of the product.4) The design is obviously of high quality. It is not exactly a piece of high-tech, but I was surprised to see how precisely all the pieces aligned. Every bolt fits perfectly, allowing no play once tightened. The bolts all come with nylon lock nuts, and can be tightened extremely well.5) The cage does not move at all while doing pull-ups and leg raises (I am about 190lb). To be precise, it does not move at any of the joints. Of course there is a slight rocking of the cage as a whole when one applies their entire body weight because the assembled product only weighs 160lb or so.Hope I’m not making this review too prematurely. I’ll be back to edit it if the welds comes apart in the coming weeks 😉

Great rack for home use, no complaints!

Like many have said, this is a great rack for the amateur/every day weight lifter. It’s not huge, but it’s also really solid and I don’t worry about it failing.Took some time to put together, but the instructions were clear and it would have taken less time with another set of hands, but alas, I did it alone and I’m a 5’2″ woman. So fret not, you don’t have to be superman to put this together.I also really liked that the pullup bar on the top could be inverted to allow it to be used wthin a room with lower ceiilngs. That’s exactly what I did, and it’s perfect. Really happy with this purchase.

    Very Nice Weight Lifting Rack

I have been lifting on and off for most of my life. I am now 73 and haven’t lifted for 20 years. Getting too soft so time to start lifting again. – Purchased this rack and had it set up in about 30 minutes. Everything went together perfectly. I did all of the assembly by myself; assembly was a breeze. The rack was packaged very well and arrived in perfect condition. No road rash at all. The paint was unblemished and the metal parts were formed perfectly. I purchased upgraded J-Hooks ahead of time because the stock hooks don’t have rubber padding and the design is not to my liking. A very minor drawback considering the low price of the rack.I always lift by myself without a spotter. When I was 55 I felt confident lifting without a spotter. However, now that some years have passed, seems prudent to employ some sort of protection should I become unable to complete the lift. The 1″ spotting bars fit the bill for this need perfectly. I can now try to crank out that last rep without fear of snapping my ribs should I run out of steam.I no longer will attempt max weight on any lift, but will focus on lifts I can complete in 6 to 15 reps. Meaning, I do not need a rack that can support 600 pounds. The rack looks plenty strong and can likely support 600 pounds without a problem. However, if you are like me and don’t plan on being an olympic weight lifter, then this rack will be a perfect addition to your lifting equipment. Just make sure you purchase a solid bench and you won’t be dissappointed.

    Great Product. Easy to Assemble.

I ordered this rack for my home gym (given where America is with the coronavirus, I won’t be going back to a gym any time soon). I love it and wanted to leave a review including some tips for installation/assembly and general suggestions.1. Tools: As other reviews mention, get a 17 mm socket, a ratcheting handle, and 17 mm wrench for this assembly. The two wrenches it came with would take forever to use. Seriously. Buy them, borrow them, whatever you can do the get them. Well worth it.2. Time: the whole process from start to finish (cleaning the area, unboxing, accounting for all pieces, assembly, and cleanup) took two hours. I had my sister help me assemble it – holding pieces in place, handing me tools/hardware etc – and it really sped things up. You could do this on your own but I highly recommend having an extra set of hands. This is a fairly simple assembly so you don’t really need any extensive experience to successfully do this. Don’t be intimidated just because it’s gym equipment. If you can put together a piece of IKEA furniture, you can figure this out.3. Install: The steps in the manual correspond to the steps on the hardware which was nice, but all the bolts, washers, and nuts were the same so it didn’t really matter. It does help you know the quantity you will use for each step if you aren’t well versed in assembly. Biggest recommendation is to get a mat to place this on instead of directly on the floor. Stable mats from tractor supply are just as good as any gym flooring out there. You will need a 4 ft x 6 ft stable mat. These are typically 3/4 inch thick and run about $44-$50. Super affordable and worth it for a better surface to lift on.Functionality: I currently have 205lbs (barbell and all bumper plates) that I can load on this rack and it handles it well. No need to bolt it to the ground in my opinion. At a body weight of 165 lbs I can use this rack for strict pull ups no problem, but would recommend putting weights on the base if you want to do kipping pull ups or anything else that involves swinging. This brand offers weight storage attachments you can add to this rack so if you want to weigh it down more, order a couple of those, add them to the back, and throw some plates on there. It comes with adjustable “hooks” for bar placement but if you are going to lift heavier weights or are a more serious lifter, I would recommend buying some nicer J hooks.Overall, great quality for the price. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to add to their home gym set up.

    Great quality for pin pressing

This rack has been good for solo lifting at home. Doing rack Pulls, pin squats, and pin pressing. It helps you try max effort and work your sticking points in bench, deadlift and squat. I lift alone and the pins give me peace I have a spotter and I won’t destroy my patio floor if I need to ditch the weight. It’s helped my max shoot up in numbers since I start in the hardest point for me in those lifts grinding thru sticking points to lock out. The pins really Help doing all these lifts solo and you can ditch the weight easy without a problem, but I don’t really have to since I’m starting with the load on the pins themselves, if I can’t lift it in that weak spot I take weight off.. Its a feat of strength training I adopted back in high school and I missed from home workouts. If you haven’t tried pins squats ect give it a go. I put towels on the pins so it doesn’t make so much noise and keeps it from getting scratched. Plus it doesn’t move around easy the towels keep the barbel in the same spot as if you racked it.Great quality and build. It Does shake but it’s not really bad, it’s not commercial gym racks but nothing to really be afraid of since i control whatever weight I use when I put it back. I’m also not hitting 700lb DL, bench not squat at my house. I’ve loaded 390 on the j hooks and pins and it doesn’t make a difference like 225 is on there. You should control the weight anyways at that high of number for safety concerns so if u slam your weights around like a monkey probably spend an extra 200 for a more sturdy cage but I have not seen any issue with it even though the comments say otherwise. I was skeptical and garage gym reviews on YouTube showed me this is the best bang for buck with there tests/review they did in the rack. Best upgrade I’ve made to my home gym. Now I gotta buy more plates lol

    Solid product!

Item was delivered in one box and packed super secure with pieces of wood and styrofoam to protect it. The symmetrical design elements made it a breeze to put together. I really liked how ALL the heavy duty nuts/bolts are the same size. Follow the directions and in about 30-60 minutes you will have it put together. I did it by myself. It fits all my needs and is at an incredible price point.

Great centerpiece to start a home gym.

I have used this cage daily for roughly 3 months and the pros far outweigh the cons. Let’s start with the cons: (1) without being weighted down, the cage is a bit unstable for some exercises. Examples: I do leaning lateral arm raises where the upright is my anchor. Without weight on the cage, the rack would topple over. Also, when using heavy weight for landmine chest presses and using a plyo box as a psuedo fulcrum or point of support, the cage will lift off the floor at the point where the landmine attaches to the frame (think of a seesaw with only one person; person goes down while the opposite side goes up). That said, this is the tradeoff you make when you consciously purchase an inexpensive (note, I did not say cheap) piece of equipment with a small footprint designed for home use. Most of this is easily countered with weights low and at the corners as seen in the picture, provided you have the luxury of other weight available to perform the exercises. In my case, I use dumbbells for the leaning lateral raises and bumper plates for the landmine chest presses and leave the iron plates on the holders. (2) The smaller chrome hooks (not the long safety bars) that come with it leave something to be desired. As a result of the design, if you are shifting the bar laterally before un-racking, they can come unhinged if you are not careful. And, if you care about this sort of thing, they do not have high backs and you will scratch the uprights and potentially your bar when re-racking. It also makes for a clunky re-rack as the the hook is not flush with the upright. I opted for third party j-hooks with high backs and hard plastic “padding” (not the Fitness Reality ones) that solved this. (3) I would have liked the pull-up bar to have knurling. I use hockey tape, but it’s not the same. All that said, I have zero regrets about this purchase. I have not experienced the negatives in some of the other reviews. The item was packaged very well and there were no defects out of the box that I noticed. For the price, this is a sturdy piece of equipment and is manufactured well with quality material and I expect it to last much longer than I originally anticipated. It was easy to assemble and when all bolts are torqued properly, there is minimal to no wobble. I can see how some people would have issues with hitting their face on the upper horizontal support bar when re-racking after a squat, but I face the opposite direction. I imagine these folks have a mirror at the rear of the cage and this is why they face that direction. The hooks don’t have to be on the rear upright where that support bar is, either. Additionally, there are plenty of universal 2×2 attachments available (dip bars, j-hooks, landmine, etc.) that make this rack a solid centerpiece to build your home gym around. I opted not to purchase the lat pull down attachment and instead use after market pulleys and resistance bands, further enhancing the usefulness of this cage. With this cage and available attachments, there is almost no exercise that I cannot do at home that I could have done at the gym. I would highly recommend this item if you are able to get it at a reasonable price.

Pretty much perfect for a home gym

As others have said, it’s pretty much perfect. Really the only thing I’d prefer is if the low row/pully was about 4-5 inches higher for doing seated back rows (while sitting on the floor). Oh, and a foot plate attachment to give a little space for stretch on those seated back rows would be good. Otherwise it looks great, feels incredibly sturdy. Been using 4-5 times a week for 2 months with zero issues. Was kind of a pain in the butt to put together, but I’m not sure I would want it to be any easier. It was difficult because it was a lot of sturdy bolts. And all of that for an excellent price.

Good enough for a home gym

This was purchased in March 2023, so I’m not sure how much has changed since earlier reviews. The box was delivered with minor exterior damage (expected based on the weight), but the contents were all individually wrapped, and cushioned with foam and cardboard, and the box was reinforced with a few thin wooden squares; no damage. The instructions were easy to follow, showed exactly where stickers/decals should end up, and each post had an “up” arrow sticker. I took note of other reviewers having trouble squatting in the cage because of the top brace. Costco sells the same cage but without the top bracket. I built this with the brace, then removed it to see if there was any difference in stability. There was no difference, so I left the top brace off. It would definitely interfere with squats or spotting my kids when they bench press. I also took heed of the shoddy/dangerous j-hooks mentioned in other reviews, so I bought Yes4All j-hooks and plate holders at the time of the purchase. The advantage of this cage over similar products is that it has standard 2×2 posts and 1-inch holes. Attachment options are almost limitless. I would give this product a 5-star rating except it would not represent the overall quality and stability of the cage. You get what you pay for. The kids are going into their senior year, and it will just be me left alone with the home gym after next year. I could not justify paying $5K plus for a cage. This will get the job done for a lot less. I will update the reviews after a few months of use. Both my son and daughter compete in Olympic weightlifting in high school, so the garage gym equipment will be put to the test.July UPDATE: So glad I saved money on the squat rack. It really only holds the bar between exercises. I think if someone wanted to attach pullies or use the rack as a platform for other equipment, it might need to be a more stable and expensive rack. The kids have learned to use the safety bars for their feet to extend pullup workouts and to switch grips. The smooth pullup bars provide no grip whatsoever, so I wrapped them in sports tape (hockey stick tape would work as well). The other reason the cheaper rack is sufficient is the kids use the home-built lifting platform as much as the rack, so we’re getting good use out of the rubber weights. I also bought a rubber barbell boot instead of a bolt-on landmine for the rack. The rubber boot doesn’t scratch the bar and it sticks like super glue to the textured horse stall mats on the lifting platform. Everything is holding up great.

    Well made versatile squat rack

The squat rack arrived, well packaged, on time and defect free. I purchased this rack as one of the first pieces of equipment when building my home gym during the start of the pandemic. I reviewed multiple squat racks available and found this one to be the best value for what you are getting. It is constructed of standard 2” x 2” channel, so it is very sturdy, and there are multiple suppliers of add on equipment. The rack came with J cups for supporting a bar, as well as safety supports. The total package arrived in a single corrugated box, with each piece well rapped. Although the directions were excellent and everything was well marked, it took a while to put together. There are significantly more racks available from name brand companies that are more expensive, and if you are a power lifter, lifting very heavy you may look beyond this at 3” x 3” based frames. The one negative, although it doesn’t affect me, is the hole spacing. It is 2” between holes, versus 1” on some of the name brands. The additional hole spacing on this rack adds rigidity. To get the same strength on a 1” spacing rack would require a heavier gage steel. One of the attachments that i purchased along with the rack was the upper/lower pulley arrangement. An additional worthwhile purchase. Finally, this rack has been reviewed on YouTube by Garage Gym Reviews, and came out favorably based on price/performance. A good purchase for a rack.

    The essentials and the value

TLDR: great value for the price. Hits all the essentials and is efficiently sized. To give context of the type of athlete I am: I strength train consistently, bench 220lbs and squat 275 lbs at 181 lbs. Ultimately, I would consider myself a intermediate weight lifter who trains to be fit and look good.Due to COVID and elevated chances of getting it at a gym, I decided to invest into a home gym; with a Power Rack as my first purchase. My objective was to buy a Power Rack that will be safe to lift moderate to above moderate weight. And of course, I was looking for a product with the best value. I also did not have the option to bolt down a rack or bolt a rack to a studded wall, since it was going to be in an unfinished basement.I researched all of the top brands and read/watched many online reviews (shout out to Cooper at Garage Gym Reviews!). Pretty quick, it became clear that there were two options: go with a top brands like Rogue or go with a budget-friendly brand, many of which can be found on Amazon. The top brands come with a high price tag but you get what you pay for: sturdy and consistently build equipment with great customer service and warranties to back it up. One hiccup in the process was not many items are in stock due to the low supply in the industry. I was turned on to the FR 810xlt from a YouTube review, which concluded that this product has all the essentials needed in a Power Rack for about a quarter of the price of the top brands. I also liked the attachment options – I ended adding four plate storage pins, the dip bars, and landmine attachment. I nearly bought the lat pull down attachment too but found an alternative pulley system that took up less space and was removable (I highly recommend that too – they’re about $50; in contast to the $200+ listed on Amazon for the FR lat pull down attachment).Pros:- It is sturdy… enough. There is a very slight wobble but it’s nothing to be concerned about if you are under the max weight cap. This slight wobble is expected since the rack isn’t bolted in.-The space in the power rack is perfectly sized for one person. Any less space would be too tight to comfortably lift. Any more would take up space for other equipment in your workout area. Perfectly sized for my needs.-The paint quality and finish is not cheap. I have already done my fair share of aggressive barbell reracks and would have thought by now some of the paint would’ve chipped off. I’m happy to report the rack looks fantastic still.-The Price. When I bought this rack a month back, with was ~$250 without the attachments. That’s incredible for the level of quality and costistency offered by this Power Rack. Even if the rack has increased in price due to lack of supply, this is still worth the price point.Cons:-The holes are not numbered. This honestly is not a big deal to me. I’m going to by some magnets to label which holes I use for each exercise.-The rack didn’t come with wrenches for configuration. I ended up having to buy a socket set, which I should’ve had in the first place.-The Packaging is very heavy. Fair warning… You will want someone else with you to carry it. Say sorry to the UPS guy too.-The assembly process was difficult for one person. There’s a lot of bolting and socketing. That was a work out on it’s own. It probably took twice as long for me to set it up since i did it myself. I recommend having someone help you, if possible. The manufacturer recommends that as well.-The pull up bar handles are a little slick. I wish the were knurled or had some texture for a better grip. If that’s a concern for you, you can buy pull up grips on Amazon.-The pin holes are only on two sides of the upright (front and back). Fitness Reality probably did this for the structural integrity reasons. It would be nice to have holes on all for sides. It would allow for so many more attachment options. In conclusion, this rack is one of the best values on the market. I was very close to purchasing a Rouge Monster Lite rack but I decided to take a chance on this rack. I’m very glad I did. I have a feeling this rack is going to be with me for a very long time.

    Great for Home Gym

I HATE reading these reviews where people say… it looks nice!!! Then take a photo of the rack like ooooo look at my new toy. WTF??? I don’t buy gym equipment to look nice, I buy it to use. I just want it to hold up to the abuse it is about to receive.Avid gym enthusiast. Bought this because I wanted to save time and money. Gym is always super crowded and I work from home 3 days out of the week, so made sense for a home gym. Don’t like writing reviews but I figure I would for those who enjoy fitness. I put 315lbs on the spotter supports and the weight hooks. No issue, No bending. I put the weight hooks on the front and rear of the rack just to be sure. I’m not a heavy lifter but I squat and bench 315lbs so I wanted to make sure this thing won’t buckle under the weight. The rack is stable and didn’t sway when re-racking the bar with the weight. This rack is easy to put together. Super easy with two people but I did it myself. I’m pretty handy though but if you can put together Ikea furniture you’ll be ok. Socket and Wrench set will do. It comes with those cheap ones though. Even better if you have an impact wrench! Instructions are easy to follow. The rack was packaged nice.1. Lay out all the parts first to ensure everything is there. (wear gloves as bolts are very oily… which is good… no rust). Don’t tighten all the bolts until you have it all put together.2. Put together the racks left and right sides while on the ground… The plastic feet too.3. Put together the pull up bar portion on one of the sides. You can lean the other side against a wall and stand up the side with the pull up bar. Grab a couple bolts, lock both sides together and boom, pretty easy… at least it was for me.4. Tighten down all the bolts. I recommend going in a diagonal pattern like tightening a tire on a car.Home Gym for under $1kI also bought the accessories that go with the rack like the dip bars and land mine. haven’t used the land mine yet.I bought an iron crush 7′ Olympic bar. Plenty of tensile strength for the amount of weight I use.Went to a local sports store and bought used weights. They aren’t cheap but cheaper than new.If you lift heavy on bench or shoulders, don’t settle for a cheap bench. Safety over cost. Other local sports stores might have a decent bench too.I went to a local hardware store and got 2 horse stall mats. 3/4″ thick 4’x6′ for like $70. I recommend those if you do any type of deadlifting or CrossFit if you’re slamming weights.Good squat belt. Again, safety over cost.Lastly, No One paid me for this review on any of these products to include this rack. I’m just out here to support those who like to lift and want to do it in the comfort of their own home. Enjoy your work out!

    To Good To Pass Up…

Let me break a couple of things down real quick..I work for a living, sometimes 6-7 nights a week. I am pushing 50, but want to get back into shape. The government as we know takes most of our money, so I am pretty tight with what I get. I shopped around when looking for a squate rack. Even stooped so low as to browse the high priced, used trash on Facebook Marketplace.I shop a lot on Amazon, it’s convenient due to my work schedule. So after looking around, I finally settled on this Fitness Reality squat rack and lat attachment set up. It took awhile to get here as it was being shipped by UPS for some reason, and in seperate packages due on seperate dates. UPS if you don’t know, doesn’t generally use careful hands when it comes to packages, and is not timely at all. So while spending a few days peeking out the windows like a package thief, I finally caught the deliveries securely.Alright the fun part. When I was a kid I use to rip open packages and toss the instructions to the wind. Not so these days. A word of advice, keep a couple of trash bags handy when unpacking the parts, as Fitness Reality goes out of the way to carefully package parts. I examined all parts, gathered up tools and set everything out for an easy assemble. Pretty much everything you need to will come with the kit, but there are easier ways, such as using an impact wrench, socket/wrech set, and make sure you have a utility knife to get through the packaging.I started out putting together the squat rack, NOT overly tightening anything. I kept EVERYTHING finger tight until even the lat attachment was finally assembled…just made things easier to fit. Then, I did a couple final shakes of the units while jumping around doing the final tightenings. The squat rack went together quick and flawless, instructions were not needed, but were included. It was a cake walk job from just looking at the diagram. The lat attachment however, lol…I had a couple of issues. For some reason I decided to use the instructions. Don’t do that unless you need to. It was a mess, steps jumped ahead of themselves, parts stepped ahead of themselves, bolts seemed mislabled, etc…My best advice, lay your pieces out, make sure they are all there. Browse the instructions to see where the parts are located on the unit, then just jump in and toss it together. Again, I can not stress this enough…hand tighten ONLY until completed. If you do it that way, you should have zero problems. For my purchases, I have zero complaints. I have seen reviews and Youtube videos where people say chipped paint, or rust, missing parts, etc…All of my stuff was there, packaged great and with care from Fitness Reality. The price was extremely great and resonable, especially for what all this kit can do. Just know that if you are having them delivered by UPS, keep a close eye out, as the delivery dates they give do NOT match…EVER. UPS will leave your stuff exposed outside for all to see and in any kind of weather. They do NOT use kid gloves with your purchases either. And, for whatever reason, they are not requiring a signature for packages…just a dump and go. This is why I prefer Amazon, the delivery drivers generally follow my instructions and place packages on my enclosed deck, out of sight and weather. So yea, hope you enjoyed my ramblings. I’m blue collar, look for deals, and am NOT a paid representative of Fitness Reality or Amazon. If you have any questions about this product I will be glad to answer. I will further note that the lat pulldown system has 1″ inch plate holders, so I bought seperate 2″ slides that go right over them to accomodate my 2″ plates. I also didn’t feel comfortable with the 2 small safety bars and ordered larger ones…but that’s because I turn into a beast when tossing around weights, it has nothing to do with the actual small safety bars. I fully reccommend this product from this company and in no way, shape, or form regret making these purchases. Good lift to you all!!!

Little unstable but great for the price

As long as you’re careful when using this rack, and not slamming and throwing weights around with this, you’ll be good to go! For less than $300, this rack is greatly worth the price.

I received the dual cable lat pull down tower about a week ago shipping was on time and package arrived perfectly no parts missing and instructions very easy read and follow would recommend using your own tools deep socket 17mm makes everything go alot easier machine works great definitely well worth the money pulley slide smoothly cables never get crossed definitely increase the amount of exercises and increase my power rack utility with out taking up a lot of additional space I’m surprised I didn’t see any reviews about this add on any where so figured I’ll leave one just incase any one is curious will up load a photo later and update my review if anything changes but so far very happy with it if you do want to use Olympic weight plates 2inch center holes you can use adapter and cut them down to 4inches like I did to allow you to load the inner weight bar
